As part of its 'Backing Local Business' campaign, the Warrington Guardian asked for a comment from former Council Leader Cllr Ian Marks on the response from the Government and the Council to the pandemic.
Cllr Bob Barr, Liberal Democrat Group Leader on Warrington Borough Council, commented to the BBC and Warrington Guardian as the town's economic recovery begins:
Local Liberal Democrats have added their weight to calls for the Government to give more financial support to Councils helping their communities fight the effects of the pandemic.
There are concerns over the decision by Peel Ports to bring back tolls on Warburton Bridge from 1st June.
