Stockton Heath Councillor Peter Walker is pressing Warrington Borough Council hard about the need for more electric charging points to be installed in the town's car parks, saying:

Electric cars are the future for private transport, and if the Council wants Warrington to be a 'green' town they must start planning for this right away. In my own ward, which has a lot of terraced houses with no private parking, it is very difficult for residents to have electric cars because of the difficulty of recharging the batteries. We have asked the Council to take the opportunity of the promised redesign and resurfacing of the Forge car park to install charging points in Stockton Heath.

Warrington residents are keen to help protect the environment and it is up to our Council to lead the way.
