When questioned about efforts to secure more government support, the Council's response was a resounding 'no'. Instead Labour chose to balance the budget by slashing £30.5 million in services.

We have given our support to plans for Warrington to join a devolution priority programme along with Cheshire East and Cheshire West & Chester, in a move that should bring significant power and funding to our region.
At yesterday’s meeting I praised the role that farmers and farming families play in supplying locally grown food and asked the Council to explain what they are doing to support this key industry.
Finance management is a hot topic in Warrington, with many of our residents concerned about the Council’s investments.
