By-elections will take place on 7th September to fill two vacancies on Appleton Parish Council. The Liberal Democrat candidates are Helen Speed in Thorn ward and Laura Booth in Cobbs & Hillcliffe ward.
There are two more hurdles to clear before residents can be certain about the future of Green Belt land near Junction 20 of the M6 - a Council vote on the Local Plan, and the Six56 Public Inquiry.
Warrington must take immediate action to protect the most vulnerable from unaffordable energy costs next winter after the Council unanimously passed a Liberal Democrat motion to help improve the insulation of homes.
