Lymm Liberal Democrats have been out in the centre of the village talking to residents about their priorities for the village over the next few years.

Parish Councillor Graham Gowland says, "Local councillors all have their views on what they think is important, but you cannot beat actually asking residents what they think. Local elections are coming up in May and we want to make sure our priorities fit in with what people feel strongly about. Warrington Council is struggling to provide all the services we need due to Government funding cuts so Lymm Parish Council is having to do more. We also need to understand the areas where residents want us to put pressure on Warrington Council for better services."

Cllr Ian Marks adds, "As expected a large number of people wanted us to safeguard the Green Belt which is highly valued. Other issues that came near the top of the list were improvements to public transport and more road and pavement repairs."
